CLIENT OR PRODUCT

Independent web product (Launch Studio).

MY ROLE

Independent product builder — web tool, end to end

THE PROBLEM

Developers waste hours resizing screenshots, writing store copy layouts, and packing Xcode/Android icon sets for App Store Connect and Google Play.

CONSTRAINTS

  • All image work must stay in the browser (privacy)
  • Exact Apple and Google pixel specs
  • iPhone, iPad, Android phone/tablet frames and templates
  • Xcode AppIcon.appiconset + Android mipmap / adaptive icons

THE INVESTIGATION

Collected the real submission constraints teams hit: multi-size exports, 5-up store sets, icon matrices, and ZIP packaging without a backend.

THE STRATEGY

Ship a Next.js local canvas pipeline: upload frames once, apply templates and copy, export compliant PNGs and icon packs as ZIP — never leave the device.

WHAT I BUILT

  • Screenshot studio with templates and multi-device specs
  • App icon packager for Xcode and Android Studio
  • Client-side ZIP export, no server image upload
  • App Store + Google Play oriented workflows

THE HARD PART

Matching store-accurate sizes and packaging formats while remaining fully offline in the browser.

THE VERDICT

  • Public free tool at ios-app-icon-util.vercel.app
  • Local-only processing with no account required
  • Covers screenshots and full icon resource packs
